A half day authentic Japanese Cultural Experience “Yuzen Dyeing”

友禅染体験「子供の日」に因み、少し早く4月28日（日）にイベントを開催します。
Tシャツや綿パンなどご自分の好みの綿製品をお持ちいただいて描くことも、こちらで用意した白い布に描いていただくこともできます。
絵柄は、兜か、花をお選びいただきます。下絵はこちらで描きますから、お子さまでも体験していただけます。
講師は、名古屋友禅三代目堀部晴久氏。
氏は、父親の下で学んだ後、文政時代から続く友禅師として有名な京都の五代田畑喜八さんの下で修行しました。染色補正の分野でも金賞受賞歴のある友禅師です。

Learn how to do Yuzen Dye Drawing
We offer a workshop of one of the traditional Japanese arts, Yuzen dyeing.
It is a traditional technique and is characterized by the use of glue to prevent mixing of colors.
Participants can bring in items such as T-shirts or cotton pants, as long as they are made of white cotton fabric measuring at least 15 centimeters square or larger. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to experience the art of Yuzen dyeing on their chosen items.
Or you can draw Yuzen dyeing on the white cloth we provide.
After painting on the white fabric, you can take it home and later frame it to decorate your room.
We provide two designes , from which you can select one.
The designts : Samurai Helmet or Flower
In application mail, you Must describe if you bring your items or we shall prepare a cloth for you.
The instructor:
Haruhisa Horibe, Born in 1979 in Nagoya. Hi is the third generation of Horibe family, is from a distinguished lineage of Nagoya Yuzen dyeing with both his grandfather and father having received commendations, making them a prominent household in the field.
He also learned under Mr. Kihachi Tabata the 5th , one of the most famous figure in the field of Yuzen dyeing in Kyoto for four years . Haruhisa has been honored several times as an outstanding Traditional Industry Skilver.

Art gallery visit in a private atmosphere
You can purchase Yuzen Dyeing Shirts, ceramics, African fabrics and etc.
Price: ¥6,000 per person
The participant must be age over 5 years old.
The maximum number of attendees is 8
The deadline for application is 15th April.
If there are less than five applicants, the event will be cancelled.
Cancellation Policy / Participation Disclaimer:
1. Cancellation Policy: If you participate and cannot attend, please let the organiser know ASAP to allow the next person on the waitlist to attend.
2. Cancellation Policy: In order for everyone to enjoy while respecting the facilities’ reservation policies, we cannot provide a refund should you cancel after the date announced in the email. If we have a wait list member who is interested or if you can find someone to replace your spot, then we can provide a refund.
3.Pre payment is necessary for some events. It is WHOLY the responsibility of the participant to pay the organiser on the date specified within the mail. There will be no exceptions, extensions to dates, or pay on the day allowed no matter the circumstances if prepayment has been specified. If you do not prepay on time you will receive a reminder then your space will be given to someone on the waitlist.
4. Spaces are limited. We operate on a first come first serve basis.
